【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddefinesaconceptualschemaforthespatialcharacteristicsofcoverages.Coveragessupportmappingfromaspatial,temporalorspatiotemporaldomaintofeatureattributevalueswherefeatureattributetypesarecommontoallgeographicpositionswithinthedomain.Acoveragedomainconsistsofacollectionofdirectpositionsinacoordinatespacethatmaybedefinedintermsofuptothreespatialdimensionsaswellasatemporaldimension.Examplesofcoveragesincluderasters,triangulatedirregularnetworks,pointcoveragesandpolygoncoverages.Coveragesaretheprevailingdatastructuresinanumberofapplicationareas,suchasremotesensing,meteorologyandmappingofbathymetry,elevation,soilandvegetation.ThisInternationalStandarddefinestherelationshipbetweenthedomainofacoverageandanassociatedattributerange.Thecharacteristicsofthespatialdomainaredefinedwhereasthecharacteristicsoftheattributerangearenotpartthisstandard.
