【摘要】:Poly(vinylchloride)(PVC)isappliedtocoatedfabricsasadispersionofPVCparticlesinaliquidvehicle.DuringtheprocessingofthefabricthePVCisfusedormeltedtoproduceauniformfilmonthefabric.ThistestmeasureswhetherthePVCisconverted,fused,ormeltedtoproduceahomogeneousfilm.Thisconversionprocessisameltingofthecrystallitestructuresinthepolymerparticlesfollowedbysolutionofthemoltenpolymerintheplasticizingvehicle.FusionisimportantintheproductionofPVC-coatedfabrics.1.1Thismethoddescribesasimpleproceduretodeterminethecompletenessoffusionofpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)dispersioncoatingsonfabric.Thistestappliesprimarilytocoatingswithamechanicalbondanddoesnotincludetiecoating.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
