【摘要】:Scope:1.1ThisStandardspecifiestherequirementsforinsulatingtubingthatisusuallyroundincross-sectionandthatconsistsentirelyofextrudedcompoundswhosecharacteristicconstituentsarethermosetting,elastomeric,orthermoplasticpolymers(seeTable1formaterialsandratings).Theserequirementsalsocoverheat-shrinkableandcrosslinkedtubing.AproductforuseattemperaturesgreaterthanindicatedinTable1oradifferentpolymermaybeacceptableprovidedthata)itmeetstheperformancetestsinthisStandardforapolymerthatissimilar;andb)long-termheat-agingtestsareconductedascoveredinUL746BorC22.2No.0.17,usingelongationastheprimaryproperty.1.2Tubingisintendedforuseonlyinair-indryanddamplocations-aspartoftheinternalwiringofelectricaldevicesandappliancesinaccordancewiththeCanadianElectricalCode,Part1(CECode,Part1)andANSI/NFPA70,NationalElectricalCode(NEC).Itmaybeusedforinsulatingoneormoreinadequatelyinsulatedconductors,busbars,motorleads,transformerleads,terminallugs,orsmallassembliesofelectroniccomponents.Tubingisnotintendedforuseincontactwithsharpedges,corners,orprojections,orwheresubjecttotension,compression,orrepeatedflexing.Tubingisnotintendedforusewhereitisfeasibletoemployastandardinsulatedconductor(appliance-wiringmaterial)intendedspecificallyforthepurpose.1.3Theserequirementsdonotapplytofabrictubing,chemicallydilatedtubing,polymerictubingextrudedwithreinforcement,ortubingintendedonlyformechanicalprotection.1.4Theacceptabilityoftubinginanyparticulardeviceorappliancedependsuponitsacceptabilityforcontinueduseundertheconditionsthatprevailinactualservice.Accordingly,foraparticularapplication,itwillinsomecasesbenecessarytoemploytubinghavingfeaturesotherthanorinadditiontothosespecifiedintheserequirements.Forexample,tubingmayberequiredtohaveaheavierwallthicknessoraflatratherthanaroundcross-section;itmayberequiredtohaveinherentresistancetotheeffectsofimmersioninwater,oil,solvents,orotherliquids(ortheirvapors);itmayberequiredtobeusedinanenvironmentconducivetothedevelopmentoffungiandsimilarorganisms.
